Hi, I am Claudia!
My journey
I have been painting for many years because I simply cannot do otherwise. Because there is something within me that seeks to express itself through color, form, and imagery. Through this process, I have come to realize that, for me, creativity is far more than the creation of a finished painting. It is a state of searching and wonder, of experimentation and openness—a trust in what wants to emerge.
I began my journey at the Freie Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Essen (now known as the HBK), where I learned the fundamentals of the craft—color, composition, and technique. Yet, the true lessons came from the quiet hours spent with the painting itself: from failed attempts that turned out to be turning points, and from chance occurrences that sparked the best ideas.
where it led me...
The longer I painted, the clearer it became to me: what emerges on the canvas is only half the story. The other half is the moment beforehand—when you dare to make the first mark without knowing where it will lead. That moment has nothing to do with talent.
It is about courage—and the mental blocks that often quietly get in the way: the doubt about whether it is good enough, the fear of the blank page. I have learned not to fight these blocks, but to understand them. And that is precisely what I help others do today.
what I believe in...
My goal isn’t necessarily to turn everyone into an artist, but rather to reopen the space for experimentation—for everyday life. It’s for anyone who knows the feeling of having barely any room left for their own ideas amidst appointments and obligations.
I believe that creativity has nothing to do with talent. It isn’t reserved for a select few, nor is it something you either have or you don’t. To me, it’s like a muscle that grows with practice—and with the willingness to start imperfectly, stick with it, and not let yourself be discouraged. Painting was my way of learning this. Today, I share what it taught me.
If you’re looking for that kind of space in your own life, take a look at how we can find it together.
